The Royal Horseguards is a five star property overlooking the River Thames at Embankment. The building is steeped in history and was the HQ of the Secret Service during the First World War. The hotel sits alongside One Whitehall Place, home of the National Liberal Club, which has played host to a number of high profile guests including Sir Winston Churchill.
Following a full refurbishment, completed in 2010, it has received many accolades including Trip Advisor’s Travellers’ Choice Top 25 Luxury Hotels 2012, AA London Hotel of the Year 2010/2011 and awarded the Tea Guild Award of Excellence 2012. Most recently the hotel was commended in the Condé Nast Traveler’s Reader’s Awards.
The Royal Horseguards now offers free wifi. The complimentary service - installed across all five Guoman Hotels and developed in partnership with BT Wi-fi – means that guests can enjoy superfast connection speeds, with no additional cost throughout the hotel. All rooms (including meeting rooms and F&B outlets) now offer this high speed service.
