2015: Venture North, Thurso, Caithness, Scotland

The brief: VN is a tourism initiative set up in 2012 to promote the far north of Scotland. We were invited to speak at ‘Venture North Byte: food, photography and the blogosphere, with a focus on digital and content marketing for businesses in the tourism sector.

2013: Capital Region Tourism, Port Talbot, South Wales

The brief: Some European money funded a project to help train locals in the Welsh Valleys to be ‘ambassadors and welcome visitors. We went down to present case histories from elsewhere, and give some tips on how best to use digital media to tell their stories

2012: Visit York

The brief: An invitation to speak to 300 businesses at the city’s annual tourism conference on the theme of ‘Sharpening York’s competitive edge.’ I went on the theme of video storytelling…
