World Travel Market London, the leading global event for the travel industry, is the must-attend three-day business-to-business exhibition for the worldwide travel and tourism industry. Around 50,000 senior travel industry professionals, government ministers and international press, embark on ExCeL - London every November to network, negotiate and discover the latest industry opinion and trends at WTM London. Since its inaugural event in 1980, WTM London has been the event where the travel industry conducts and concludes its business deals. WTM London generates around £2.5 billion of travel industry contracts from 865,500 meetings between 5,000 exhibitors and 9,000 buyers, whom have a total purchasing responsibility of £15.8 billion. The UK & Ireland region of WTM London continues to get bigger every year. In 2015 the region was 4% bigger than the previous year with 14 new main stand holder exhibitors, including Visit Scotland. Other UK-based tourist board exhibitors include Visit Kent, Visit Jersey, Visit Wales, Visit Guernsey, Tourism Ireland, South West England, Visit Belfast, Visit Greenwich and Visit Derry.
