Richard Hammond
Richard Hammond is the Founder and Chief Executive of the Greentraveller Limited, the specialist media agency for sustainable transport and tourism. He previously spent 18 years as a freelance travel writer, specialising in eco travel. He was the editor-in-chief of the travel industry newswire TravelMole (1999-2003), the Guardian’s eco travel correspondent (2004-2008), and has had articles published in a range of publications, including BBC Wildlife, Countryfile, National Geographic Traveller, Sunday Times Travel magazine, The Times and Wanderlust magazine. Richard is a judge of the Innovation category of the World Travel and Tourism Council’s ‘Tourism for Tomorrow’ Awards and is an occasional commentator in the press and on radio regarding sustainable transport and tourism. Richard lives on the outskirts of Bath on the border with the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, a short bike ride from the Great Western railway line.
